3,000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle: Celestial Dragon

One shared board, cut into 3,000 pieces of Celestial Dragon. Everybody works on the same copy - place a handful or a few hundred, and come back to find them still there.

How the 3,000 piece board works

1

Open the board. It loads exactly where everyone left it - no sign-up, nothing to install.

2

Zoom in and pick a patch. On a board this size the edges and any strong block of colour are the easiest way in.

3

Drag a piece to its slot. It saves the moment it lands, and everyone else watching sees it appear.

4

Leave whenever you like. Your pieces stay on the board and it carries on without you.

Tips for a 3,000 piece board

Work one small area at a time. Trying to scan the whole board at once is how people give up.

Start with the border - straight edges are the quickest pieces to recognise.

Use "Show Image" to check the picture while you hunt for a match.

Guessing is safe: anything in the wrong slot can be picked up again, by you or anyone else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this really a 3,000 piece jigsaw puzzle?

Yes. The picture is cut into a 50 by 60 grid - 3,000 separate pieces, each with its own shape and its own slot. It is the largest puzzle on the site.

Do I have to finish the whole puzzle?

No. This is one shared board that everybody plays at the same time, so there is no expectation that you finish it. Place a few pieces and leave; they stay on the board and count towards your contribution.

Is my progress saved?

Every piece is saved on the server as soon as you place it. Reload the page or come back a week later and the board is exactly as everyone left it.

How long does a 3,000 piece puzzle take?

On your own, a physical 3,000 piece puzzle is many hours of work spread over days. Here it depends entirely on how many people are playing - the board moves as fast as the crowd on it, and it is normal for one to stay open for days.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. The board is drawn on a single canvas with a real camera, so pinch to zoom and drag to pan work the same as on desktop. On a phone you will want to zoom in and work a small area at a time.

Can I remove a piece someone else put in the wrong place?

Yes. Any piece in the wrong slot can be picked up by anyone, so a misplaced piece from a player who has since left never blocks a slot for good. Correctly placed pieces cannot be moved by anyone.

What happens when the 3,000 piece puzzle is finished?

Everyone who placed a piece sees the final contributor list and earns points for their share. After a few minutes the board opens a new picture at the same size and starts again.

No account, no download. Open the board and start placing.
