1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Puzzles, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

Puzzles is an online jigsaw puzzle platform offering free puzzles across many categories. The service also allows users to create custom puzzles by uploading their own images through the Create Puzzle feature. The service is provided "as is" and we make no warranties about the accuracy of the content.

3. User Conduct

Users agree to:

• Use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Not attempt to manipulate scores or game mechanics
• Not use automated systems to interact with the game
• Respect other users and maintain appropriate conduct
• Not upload images that are obscene, pornographic, violent, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate
• Not upload images that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Not upload images containing personal data of third parties without their consent
• Not attempt to circumvent upload rate limits or abuse the Create Puzzle feature

4. User-Generated Content (Create Puzzle)

The Create Puzzle feature allows you to upload images to create custom jigsaw puzzles. By uploading an image, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You own the image or have the necessary rights and permissions to use it
• The image does not violate any applicable law or regulation, and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party
• Custom puzzles are temporary — uploaded images and puzzle data are automatically deleted after 7 days
• Custom puzzles are accessible to anyone who has the shareable link; you are responsible for controlling who you share the link with
• We reserve the right to remove any uploaded content at any time, without notice, for any reason — including but not limited to content that violates these terms or is reported as inappropriate
• We are not responsible for any uploaded content and do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, quality, or legality of user-uploaded images

By uploading an image, you grant Puzzles a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display the image solely for the purpose of providing the Create Puzzle feature for the duration of the puzzle's existence (up to 7 days).

5. Intellectual Property

All platform content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and game mechanics, is the property of Puzzles and is protected by intellectual property laws. User-uploaded images remain the property of the uploader; Puzzles claims no ownership over uploaded content.

6. Privacy and Data Usage

Your use of Puzzles is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We use browser cookies and server sessions to store your player name, game preferences, and logged-in state so you can play and manage your progress. If you sign up or log in using Auth0, Auth0 provides us with an account identifier and may provide additional profile information (such as email and name) that we use to create/link your Puzzles account.

We may also use service providers (including Auth0 for authentication, and Google Analytics and Hotjar for analytics and UX improvements) to operate and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. By using our service, you consent to the processing described in our Privacy Policy. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of the personal data we store about you. We will process such requests in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. 7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

Puzzles and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service. This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from user-uploaded content through the Create Puzzle feature.
