Is this really a 4,900 piece jigsaw puzzle?
Yes. The picture is cut into a 70 by 70 grid - 4,900 separate pieces, each with its own shape and its own slot. It is the largest puzzle on the site by a wide margin.
Do I have to finish the whole puzzle?
No. This is one shared board that everybody plays at the same time, so there is no expectation that you finish it. Place a few pieces and leave; they stay on the board and count towards your contribution.
Is my progress saved?
Every piece is saved on the server as soon as you place it. Reload the page or come back a week later and the board is exactly as everyone left it.
How long does a 4,900 piece puzzle take?
On your own, a physical 4,900 piece puzzle takes weeks. Here it depends entirely on how many people are playing - the board moves as fast as the crowd on it, and it is normal for one to stay open for days.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes. The board is drawn on a single canvas with a real camera, so pinch to zoom and drag to pan work the same as on desktop. On a phone you will want to zoom in and work a small area at a time.
Can I remove a piece someone else put in the wrong place?
Yes. Any piece in the wrong slot can be picked up by anyone, so a misplaced piece from a player who has since left never blocks a slot for good. Correctly placed pieces cannot be moved by anyone.
What happens when the 4,900 piece puzzle is finished?
Everyone who placed a piece sees the final contributor list and earns points for their share. After a few minutes the board opens a new picture at the same size and starts again.
